correosfilipinas:

The Manila Metropolitan Theater or MET is an art deco building designed by the Filipino architect Juan M. Arellano, and inaugurated on December 10, 1931, with a capacity of 1670 (846 orchestra, 116 in loge, and 708 in balcony).

I used to live in Manila and pass by this building. I’ve always wondered about how it looked like when it was still up and running. I tried to imagine what type of shows I could watch and what type of music I would hear. I’ve always wished that the local government would bring it back to life. You see, even if Manila is polluted and overcrowded, what we can all be proud of as citizens of Manila is the city’s rich and dynamic culture. We’ve been the country’s capital since the Spanish Colonization. So many stories can be read and told about the streets and buildings of Manila. Am I the only one who has these sentiments?
